What is your favorite area in your home and why?
Hi everyone. My name is Lauret Jarvis and I want to share with you my new space! We just recently moved into this home. It was an older home on a lake that we completely gutted and renovated for over a year. The previous owner had this room as a porch and enclosed it at one point. (I included a before pic so you can really appreciate the transformation) It’s only 7.5 feet wide!!! I kept the original cypress hardwood floors, stripped and re-stained them. Everything else is new – from woodwork, bookcases, windows, sheet rock, ceilings, doors, etc!.
I’m 46 years old. I’m a graphic designer. I’m the editor & creative director of Lands of Texas Magazine. I’m also insane for interior design and designed the whole house myself. I work at home, so my space has to speak to who I am!
I LOVE this room!!! It’s my sanctuary where I work, read God’s Word and relax.
I included a pic of my side table with a tray of rocks shaped like hearts. My hubby, Bobby, leaves them for me where I’ll find them each time he goes out of town or something. I have them everywhere!!!
